Your engineers can take the money without seeing your books

Collecting at the door has its own permission, separate from being able to see invoices. So an engineer can take payment on the job in front of them without getting the run of your invoice ledger. Owners and managers have it as standard, and engineers get it when you switch invoicing on, because taking money at the door is the whole point of it.
